Rejected to Accepted.

But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted. (‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭9-10‬ MSG)

Wow you make me so happy Jesus. I can’t believe you spoke this verse to me when I was feeling rejected. You always comfort me. I love you. You’re everything I need. Help me to never serve a substitute and forgive me for times I have. And most of all, thank you for accepting me when others reject me.

“So I will restore to you the years that the depression has eaten, The crawling depression, The consuming depression, And the chewing depression, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the LORD your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. (‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭25-27‬ NKJV)

This is the truth.

The truth is no longer, “there is no hope.”

The truth is no longer, “my depression is useless. It consumes me. It serves no purpose yet to kill me, and self-destruct.”

The truth is, now, the years of the depression that were wasted through the tiredness, despair, and sorrow, will now be restored with beauty.

It’s better than what we have to show for depression on our own, am I right?

You’re welcome to disagree. Has depression served you any “good”? Any “benefit”???

No, it’s the most hopeless pit.

But Jesus will restore those years we thought were just “a waste”.

And make beauty out of them, and reward us double for our pain.

Now that’s at least something to look forward to instead of having no hope to hold on to.

You are His.

For those who have been raped and sexually abused, I believe Jesus is here to encourage, console, and to make beauty out of ashes out of the terrible things that have happened to you.

As in Song of Songs 4:12 “You are my private garden, my treasure.”

Though people may have come into your garden and stolen everything beautiful and of worth out of you, Jesus is here to replant. Though there are just ashes left in your garden, He’s here to pull up the deadness that the abusers have caused and resurrect your soul.

He is going to make an even more beautiful garden, as He promises in Isaiah 61:11… “You will be like a garden in early spring… With plants springing up everywhere”

Beautiful Prayer.

Jesus, help my spirit to crave the Divine Shepherd, even in the presence of the best that the world can offer me. Help me to have a constant sense of my Shepherd’s presence, regardless of my surroundings. Help me to take time to meet with my Good Shepherd each day, letting Him tell me of His love, and cheering His heart with my interest in Him. Help me to realize that when my voice is lifted in praise, my song is sweet to Him, help me to not withhold it. Help me to figure out my greatest concerns, the things I want most of all Christ’s help in. When you ask to hear my voice, let me speak to you. Jesus, bid me to come away from the lions’ den of temptation and dwell with You. Please make me willing to have the north wind of adversity blow upon me, if it will better fit me for Christ’s presence and companionship. In my weariness of earthly cares, help me not to hesitate to answer when the Divine Shepherd knocks at my door, and so turn Him from me. God, be my unquestionably, my one that is altogether lovely, the One above all others most precious to me, help me to tell you how and why you, Jesus, mean more to me than any human being or than all earthly possessions. Show me you how you love me today Jesus!!

From footnotes of the AMP bible, in Song of Solomon 1:7, 2:6, 2:13-15, 4:8, 4:16, 5:3, 5:16. Pgs. 747-750.

For your power stands not in multitude, nor your might in strong men: but you are a God of the afflicted, you are a helper of the oppressed, an upholder of the weak, a protector of the forlorn (desolate, dreary-causing sadness/gloom/dull/boring/sorrowful, sad), unhappy, miserable in feeling, condition, or appearance, lonely and sad, forsaken, expression of hopelessness) a savior of them that are without hope. (‭Judith‬ ‭9‬:‭11‬ WEB)

Let the Winds Blow. I’m Ready.

Are you willing?

Are you willing to let the winds of problems, stress, struggle, rejection, pain, and hurt blow on you, so you can let the seasonings of who Jesus really is to you blow out and let everyone who is really in need of Jesus, smell the scent of who He really is in you?

It’s time to be ready for the winds to blow!!!!

[You have called me a garden, she said] Oh, I pray that the [cold] north wind and the [soft] south wind may blow upon my garden, that its spices may flow out [in abundance for you in whom my soul delights]. Let my beloved come into his garden and eat its choicest fruits. (‭Song of Solomon‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ AMP)

It’s time to let your problems be opportunities to reveal who Jesus really is through your weakness. Imagine thinking of every problem with the reality of Jesus Christ showing through your exhaustion. But it can only happen if you let Him, Jesus is a gentleman, He never forces anything.

All you have to do is pray with a heart that is really willing and wanting for this prayer to come true, “Jesus, the One my soul delights in, shine through me , and reveal who You really are through my pain.”
